Your TPO Roofing Experts
TPO roofing systems have been installed in the United States since the early 1990s and have become a popular choice among commercial roofing contractors. TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, which is not a single material, but rather an umbrella term for a wide range of different products. Basically, it’s a single-ply membrane made from polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. The materials are combined in different amounts to create different grades of TPO membrane. The resulting material can be heat-welded at the seams to form a waterproof, seamless roof surface.
TPO roofing is available in white, gray, and black colors, with white being the most common. These roofing systems are designed to provide superior protection against ultraviolet radiation, ozone, and chemical exposure. They’re also resistant to grease, mildew, and fire. This makes them an excellent choice for many types of commercial buildings (more on this in a minute).

FAQs
The initial cost of installing commercial PVC roofing can be higher than other flat roofing materials such as EPDM or TPO. However, a PVC roofing roll tends to be more energy-efficient and longer-lasting than these other materials, making it an excellent value that helps you save money over the long term. Since a PVC single-ply membrane will likely last at least 30 years, you’ll probably never need to replace your system while you own your building
TPO commercial roofing is one of the most durable roofing materials on the market today. It’s highly resistant to punctures and tears and can withstand a lot of abuse. This makes it an excellent choice for commercial buildings that have heavy foot traffic on their roofs or where there is equipment that needs to be accessed regularly.
Energy is something that many businesses try to save on. Thankfully, TPO commercial roofing systems help businesses do just that! TPO membrane reflects ultraviolet rays which help keep your building cool in warm weather. This energy-efficient feature means you can save money on your energy bills during the warm summer months.
TPO roofing can withstand extreme temperatures, making it ideal for use in different climates around the country. Some products are rated to perform well in temperatures as low as -50° F and as high as 250° F. It won’t crack or peel due to exposure to UV rays or extreme weather conditions, such as hail and high winds.
TPO commercial roofing contains no harmful chemicals as EPDM roofs do, and it can be recycled at the end of its lifespan, making it an eco-friendly choice all around. When deciding TPO vs EPDM, TPO is the better option.
